We recently went to Allison's at the Best to have lunch. We knew of them from their successful catering business. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has had a wonderful makeover and was very comfortable to enjoy our meal. The food was scrumptious and the service was excellent! Barb & Doug the owners were even there to say hello. My Family, friends and I have been going to the Egg and I for years and although I never thought of writing a review, I have to this time. We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed! We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes. I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time. The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton. We went here tonight as a family for a simple family dinner. I am very impressed by the clean quiet family atmosphere. Then came the menus that were filled with very fair priced items for dinner for all of us. When dinner came out I was absolutely positively impressed.
