Arrived late, cook had left but as we just left without food, the owner and his wife invited us back in and his chef wife made wonderful chicken Alfredo and done in seemingly minutes. The service was worth the trip alone and the delicious portions filled this 270 pound (123kg) hearty eater. The waiter, Ray, extremely nice and the owner introduced wife after we finished. I've been to Brownstone's several times now, and it's always a good experience. Friendly staff, and good food. Their brunch gets busy on Sundays, and deservedly so, but we were able to make a reservation the night before for our not-so-small party. The banana and Nutella pancakes were delicious, but topped with syrup, were a bit rich for my delicate stomach. Good fresh orange juice. I made reservations and went to the restaurant at the end of May for my 18th birthday party. It looked very elegant fom the mall entrance. The ambience was very modern and cozy, though it was slightly noisy at times. Service was prompt and attentive with our orders and the manager even came and brought me a piece of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written in icing on the plate. Everyone unanimously agreed that the food was great. We shared a group veggie, chips, and dip platter and I had the steak well done. It was cooked to perfection and was artfully arranged with savory garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The cake I received was delicious, as was the sorbet a friend let me try. Overall, the evening went perfectly and the meal was easy on the wallet since none of us drank any alcohol. I would definitely come back here or to another Oliver & Bonacini managed etablishment. This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. Traveling from the U.S.A., I recently had the pleasure of dining at iL Forno in Woodbridge, ON, Canada, and it has quickly become one of my favorite Italian restaurants.
